Summer Canadian Sessions at ROKT

In preparation for the Severn / Vyrnwy trip on 12-14th July, we are running a couple of sessions in Canadian canoes at the Brighouse Rokt base. These will be on the evening of Wednesday 22nd May and Weds, 5th June starting about 7:00pm.
These generally will be quite informal and intended to give people the chance to just refresh their skills. There is a possibility that we also may be able to provide some more formal tuition if anyone feels the need to learn / re-learn the basics. But this depends on available coaches etc.
As we only have a limited number of open boats, I have sent this e-mail to those who have expressed an interest in either the forthcoming trip or in a general Canadian session before opening the sessions up to the wider club. Places will be allocated on a first-come first serve basis so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to attend.
Hope that’s ok.

Great Day in Mirfield

Thanks everyone for all your support with the event today. It was a great show of strength from the club and I hope everyone enjoyed their time on the water.

We have made some positive moves forward with the joint club with the rowers and had promises of support from some local organisations that will be very useful in the future. We will now push forward with our plans to get the site ready for use in the summer
